I can't believe how quickly July has gone by - so fast, but it has been so lovely, I hope yours has been too?Firstly pink embroidery which is this beautiful vintage top Alie brought back from her holiday in Italy. I love it SO much! You can't see it hear but it beautiful bell shaped sleeves and more embroidery across the elbows and gloriously pink! I'm almost loathe to wear it as I know that it will eventually wear out and I won't be able to get another one!
And for the peonies - I mentioned in the
Debenhams bouquet review post that I got sent another bouquet and this was it. I know they're very trendy at the moment, but I've always had a soft spot for peonies as they were very prominent in my wedding flowers 6 years ago. I just adore the big lousy romanticism of them. This bouquet was from the flowers by post range was just perfect, this is the day it arrived and I'm pleased to say that a week and a half on they've all opened up beautifully and look so gorgeous (very instagram friendly!).
....and for the party! Alie and I helped organise our parent's 60th birthday party last weekend. We wanted to make it a really personal to them, yes we did the usual baby and embarrassing photos hung around the hall, but we also knew we would have to make lots of pretty and more importantly delicious food, specific music playlists and lots of playful decorations that were unique to them. Alie used a higgledy piggledy set of bottles and jars to display flowers and I found most of my mismatched crockery and tablecloths to display on. We got lots of little decorations from
Pretty Little Party Shop which we would definitely recommend for pretty party ware, I particularly loved the mini balloons we used on their birthday cake.People left with full tummies, flowers and a CD with my parents favourite music from the party on it. It was a good day.
