It's been a while, but before catching up on all the things I want to blog about I thought I'd do a little list of things which are currently making me happy - I've always love Kat's happy lists on her blog here and so thought I'd do a mini compilation of my own.

I've been meaning to start a series of posts for a while now about inspiring homes - I'm sure most people (especially if you're reading this!) love a good nose around someones house, and this is the perfect excuse. I love interiors magazines, but I do find that sometimes they can get a little samey and can be a bit trend led rather than focused on the individual.

I have always loved magazines, since the days of my beloved Fast Forward Magazine. I tend to have a real mix up of different varieties, I love fashion maagzines, I love the classic, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, but I tend to be swayed by the photography in each, and while I still love them they don't really relate to my life, I'm no really sure they ever did.

CeCe's room is the smallest room, and though tiny I've never let that get in the way of her having everything she needs - without it looking like a toy junk shop!. You can read about her little desk space we created here. While I loved it and it worked wonderfully I'm always trying to think of new ways to free up space and to encourage her with her creating and so I'd had my eye on some kind of memo board for a little while. The Ikea Skadis pegboard was the perfect solution (by the way this is in no way sponsored I just love passing on my love of really beautifully designed and functional products!).

So I have to say I was thrilled when CeCe wanted to be the panda from Please Mr Panda (if you haven't seen my world book day post you can read it here), as I knew I'd get to make these super cute donuts! I have to say of all the girls toys, I love their play food the best.

I love World Book day so much. Making is obviously my thing and so I know that I don't get the feeling of dread that fills some parents (for me that will happen with any maths/science/sport related school projects that require help!) but I just think its so wonderful the way that the children all get so enthusiastic about what character they are and what they'll be wearing for that part.
